You've been creating music since 1993, how did you start?
We got influenced by the electronic music that at that time sounded really refreshing and we decided to just buy a Soundblaster AWE 32 to be able to try it out ourselves. We got hooked to the possibilities and slowly kept buying more gear to for fill our needs.
Who gave inspiration to you?
Bands like Front242, Underworld, Portishead, Tricky, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, NIN, The Orb, Orbital and the list goes on!
You concentrated on drumandbass, with techno and dark on the side. Why exactly dnb?
We got in contact with jungle in the early 90’s, but it where tracks like Locust (Ed Rush & Fierce) and Super sharp shooter (Ganja Crew), that got us hooked. It just gave so much drive and energy and at that time it felt like a relief.

Workstation: PC
Synthesizers: Clavia Nord Modular , G2 Engine, G2x, Dave Smith Evolver, Waldorf Pulse + , Virus KC, Korg Z1

How did you feel when Trace started to release your tracks?
Totally Awesome!
In 2002 you managed to start your own label. Was it a straight way to the
top?
We didn’t want to make any more concession towards any label owner and stubborn as we are we wanted to be in control so it felt like it needed to be done, But it turned out nicely and hopefully this is just the start.
Which is your favorite release, by both author and publisher means?
That’s a hard question, dEUS – for the roses
What's your opinion about those members of the Hungarian scene who you are
in connection with? Skc, Chris.su, Jade, Matt-u, for example.
You should be proud of how much quality your country has to offer
Heyboer brothers! How did the idea of making the Obsessions sublabel
come?
Don’t forget about Rene!
anyways Obsessions was born because we got so many lovely tunes from other producers that were less dance floor orientated then the stuff on BSE but were just nice and rolling and great to listen to, maybe you can say they were made with less concessions to the club culture.
That’s why we thought that they wouldn’t really fit the BSE imprint: people just expect certain sound on BSE and appreciate it because of that (it’s like having a clothing brand). So the idea was to create a new brand, because the music on Obsessions definitely deserved to have its own Imprint.
Who do you prefer to collaborate with the most?
So far we liked doing most collaboration, but It’s nice to speak your own language (because it’s easier to explain yourself and make jokes while you work) and therefore it’s nice to work with people like Noisia
You’ll come to Hungary at the end of September, what are your plans?
