adott egy vadiuj
dell d820 laptop es egy vadiuj
m-audio firewire 410 interface.
a problema a kovetkezo:

There are a number of possible reasons for pops & clicks and-/or noise bursts in the audio, but one of the most common reasons on laptops is CPU throttling. Depending on the brand of your laptop, this might be called "SpeedStep" or "SmartCPU" on your system. In simple terms, what this does is to reduce the speed of the CPU to preserve energy whenever the system load allows this. Unfortunately, CPU throttling can have a bad effect on any active audio playback- or recording task which will be audible as noise bursts or pops & clicks.
Most Laptop computers will allow to turn this feature off. Please check the following link for tips on the subject:

The problem is most probably not related to Dell but to intel speed step power saving technology for notebooks - which simply don't work very well with firewire audio. In windows xp speedstep control is integrated into the operating system so turning speedstep off in bios won't help as windows overrides and turns it on again.
Try downloading speedswith xp (it's free).
http://www.diefer.de/speedswitchxp/index.htmlThen set to max performance preset in speedstepxp. Then click "options", "CPU policy"-tab and set "AllowPromotion" to "No" on all C-states.
This will cause the processor to always run at fix maximum speed and I believe it will solve your problems. It solved mine.
kerdesem: volt-e valakinek ilyen paraja, es ez a speedstep kikapcsolas megoldotta-e.
most melohelyen vagyok, csak este probalom ki, addig gondoltam nehany atomfizikus ideokoskodhatna valamit.
