Gridlok (Violence, Project 51)

Gridlok a napfányes Florida szülötte, aki a hegedűről nyergelt át az elektronikus zenére, azon belül is a drum and bass mellett tette le voksát. A lemezpörgetés mellett elsősorban saját szerzeményeinek 2000-ben kiadót is alapított, a Technorganic kiadványok irányították ár a figyelmet, ez juttatta maxihoz például az Audio Blueprint-nél.
Új kiadóját, a Poject 51-et már a nyugati parton, San Franciscoban alapítja meg, ahol egy szerencsés véletlen folytán megismerkedik Hive-val. A történet szerint Gridlok épp a felette levő lakásban pecózó Hive-hoz kopogtatott be cukorért. A két producer hamarosan egyesítette erőit és kiegészülve Echo-val, valamint a Usual Suspects-ből és Universal Project-ből épp kiszálló Keaton-nal összehozták a drum and bass jelenlegi legütőképesebb csapatát a Violence Recordings égisze alatt.
A négyes a tavalyi év egyik legjobb drum and bass albumát hozta össze, a Welcome To Violence jazz inspirálta számai tudtak újat hozni a dobbasszus durvább ágába is. Jelenleg Gridlok szólóalbumán dolgozik, amelyből a Drum Club közönsége elsőkézből hallhat ízelítőt.
