A holland Martyn már mintegy tíz éve aktív részese a drum and bass életnek, mint DJ, szervező és az utóbbi pár évben már, mint producer is. Nem is akármilyen, hiszen olyan, a minőségre sokat adó kiadók jelentették meg számait, mint a Flight vezette Play:Musik, a Soul:R vagy Rohan Bassbin-je. Hatásaiként olyanokat nevez meg, mint Codename John (Grooverider), Fierce, Optical, Boymerang, Jonny L, Marcus Intalex és Calibre, akik - mint ahogyan ő is - képesek voltak kemény ütemekből és basszusbol olyan techno hangzást létrehozni, amely nem vesztette el muzikalitását. Ugyanez jellemző a sci-fi rajongó hollandra, aki jellemzően egy-egy zenéjében csupán néhány hangot használva technokratán, de dallamosan építkezik.

Hailing from the suburbs of Paris, France, NAIBU discovered Drum n Bass in the late 90?s. After being introduced to a sequencer by a friend, there was no turning back. With influences ranging from the sampler maestros of the 90?s: DJ Shadow, DJ Krush, Amon Tobin, and EL-P (amongst many others), to the depth of 70?s electronic and progressive music, NAIBU digs deep in the crates, refreshing old dust to make something completely original.

NAIBU's debut release , a tune called AKI, backed with MARTSMAN?s AEIRO, is set to drop early 2007 on BASSBIN's sister label BREAKIN'. Forthcoming projects for NAIBU include collaborations with Hungary's finest production outfits TACTILE and SPINLINE, and also exciting new material alongside HYDRO of QUARANTINE and DNAudio fame.
