Biography
Biography Hailing from the South West of the U.K, Danny started his production career with a release on jungle don, DJ Ron’s label Picasso in 1998 with the 12” “Manhattan” and “Get Unconscious”, but really made his mark when he signed up to the mighty Hospital Records in early 2000. His first single was the ultra funky dance floor smasher “Do it Again” which was hammered by Fabio and all the liquid heads, backed up with his next NHS single “Changes”, Danny was emerging as one of the leading lights of the new liquid movement. Although it was his next track that really set the D&B scene alight, behind the massive R&B vs D&B/Brian Mcknight bootleg, the tune was played by all corners of the D&B community. Mr Byrd also lent his remixing abilities to London Elektricity on “Wishing Well”, Tungsten’s “Expand your mind” and High Contrast’s “Music is everything”. After this he went undercover for a bit, but came back in 2004 with the epic “Planet Music” featuring MC Foxy on vocal duties, this dropped on the massive Weapons of mass creation compilation. Danny also features on the new Weapons of Mass Creation 2 with the bassline roller “The Winchester Club”. Most recently Danny has been at it hard in the studio, his latest tracks destined for big things have already received plays from London Elektricity, Bryan G, High Contrast and Logistics to name a few. Soul Function/J18 was the last single danny dropped, but the releases are going up a gear in 2006!
